Liberty Bridge accident still under investigation

On Behalf of | Apr 7, 2017 | Motor Vehicle Accidents |

The Liberty Bridge was the site of a major accident recently that involved three vehicles. It has recently gone under some major renovations, but it is unclear if this contributed to the accident. Officials are investigating the wreck and trying to determine why one of the vehicles was traveling the wrong way, thus triggering the three vehicle wreck.

The wrong-way driver was hospitalized, but recently was upgraded to good condition. Another driver did not need medical attention. But the third vehicle was carrying a husband and wife, and their child. They are all hospitalized and it is unclear what their condition is. Furthermore, many of the specifics of this wreck have gone unfulfilled by officials, so it is difficult to tell much.

What we can clearly say is that with all of the injuries in this wreck and the apparent negligence on the part of the wrong way driver, legal consideration will likely be necessary. If the police file a report that conclusively establishes liability, then the victims of this wreck should consult with an attorney and get their case evaluated. The information provided in any police report after a car accident offers a wealth of information that could substantiate a personal injury claim.

Car accidents are scary, painful moments for many people around Pittsburgh and all across the state of Pennsylvania. These wrecks happen far too often, and the victims need legal support to ensure they receive justice.
