A car crash in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania left three people with injuries and the police combing the scene for answers. The crash occurred in the early morning hours of July 10, roughly around 4:30 a.m. Two vehicles were involved in the crash and one of them ended up catching fire after the crash. After the fire was put out, two people had to be extricated from one of the vehicles.

A 50-year-old man, a 36-year-old woman and a 9-year-old child were injured in the crash. All three were listed in “critical” condition. Little else is known about this crash.

It will be interesting to see what comes out of the police report for this crash. The police report often contains vital pieces of evidence and information that can be used by victims of a crash if they wish to pursue litigation against a negligent driver involved in their wreck. The negligence must be proven, of course. But the police report is critical in this regard. Also, the police report can be amended after the fact if new information comes to light.

With this crash, there will be questions about the drivers in terms of their state of mind. Given the time of the crash, one of the drivers may have been intoxicated. It is also possible that one of the drivers was sleepy or tired and wasn’t able to react to the traffic in front of them. No matter the case — it could have been a true accident, after all — it will be interesting to hear more details in the future.
