Multiple accidents culminate in fatal wreck

An early morning series of accidents on the Pennsylvania Turnpike left two people dead and the police scrambling to investigate the entire scene. The fatal wreck was triggered by two other accidents that preceded it. The first wreck saw a car hit the guardrail, which was followed by two passenger cars colliding with each other.

It was the third accident that was fatal. With the two wrecks in front of a tractor trailer, the truck driver stopped the vehicle because the Turnpike was blocked. Unfortunately, a passenger car behind the truck was unable to stop in time and, as a result, they collided with the truck. Two adults in the car -- a 55-year-old and a 47-year-old -- were killed in this crash, and two younger passengers -- aged 16 and 12 -- survived the crash but with injuries. They were transported to a local hospital.

The crash is a sad reminder of the life-changing impact that motor vehicle accidents can have on people and families. It is also a reminder of the complicated nature of accidents, as this one involved three distinct and separate wrecks that compounded upon one another, culminating in the unfortunate deaths of two people.

Chain reaction crashes like this can have complicated liability outcomes too. People who pursue personal injury claims in an effort to recoup needed compensation for their pain and suffering need to be prepared to clear some legal hurdles during the course of their lawsuit. This can be aided with the advice and advocacy of legal counsel.
